The Seiner Dealerships have great community programs we partner with especially during the holidays!
The program started in the early nineties as a way to engage employees in fun workplace activities and give back to the community. Jerry Seiner was very involved and wanted to give back and did so very quietly. It is no different today.
Employees donate funds all year long to help families in need during the holidays. The donations come from employee events such as “dress down Friday”, various raffles throughout the year for fun prizes, in non-Covid times, we do a chili cook-off contest, bake sales, ice cream socials, sell slices of pizza at lunch, and a dunking booth.
We look for small ways that employees can contribute all year long and really and feel they are contributing to a good cause.
The Seiner dealerships have had many community partners over the years starting with the newspaper program, the Angel Tree program and this year, as we have for many years, Catholic Community Services.
CCS has a great holiday program call the “Gift of the Drummer” where our employees provide holiday gifts to refugee children and families in need in our community. The employees get a list of needs and wants for both children and families. They then shop for those items and wrap them for the children and families.
We will have info on Seinercares.com with information, things the community can do to help and more information about the programs we are involved in.
CCS has other ways to donate throughout the year: The holidays are fantastic and quite often that’s when they get the most help from companies and individuals. The need is all year-long and the best opportunity to serve is actually after Christmas. There are also awesome ways you can help remotely!
Note: The holidays are always fully staffed for Utah Catholic Services and programs are really well funded, the need comes in January, especially for volunteers, and with the pandemic, there are ways to help monetarily or through their Amazon smiles account.
Through the Rocky Mountain Chevrolet Dealers, we are also happy to be a sponsor and drop off location for the Road Home’s Emergency Shelters and Housing Programs.
They are in urgent need of blankets, coats, boots, hats and gloves. Donations are being collected in our Chevrolet showroom if you want to bring any of those items. Cash donations can always be accepted as well at theroadhome.org.
This program is typically signed up for in advance and the spots are filled, however, this year we have the opportunity to fill some last minute items. If you will be collecting gifts for a specific child, or if you will be selecting the age and gender of a non-specific child to provide gifts for, you may purchase any of the items listed below. They must be new items only. Please keep all items together and label for the gender and size of the unspecified child. If you want to sponsor a specific child, please reach out to the UCCS directly!
The following items are needed in a New Refugee Family Welcome Kit. Items found on this list may be GENTLY used unless otherwise noted below.
Donation drop off information is available at https://www.ccsutah.org/, or bring any donations into any of our showrooms and we will take care of it for you!
